By taking advantage of the services provided by Guest-Book.co.uk, you agree to adhere to the following Terms & Conditions. Guest-book.co.uk reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.

Privacy

You are required to keep all registration information for your guestbook up-to-date and correct, including your contact email address. Any guestbook owner that does not respond in a timely fashion (if required) to any email sent to the registered address, or specifies an address which results in an undeliverable email, risks having their guestbook removed.
No information gathered by Guest-book.co.uk is made available to any third-party in any form.
Email addresses gathered by Guest-book.co.uk may be used when sending out information regarding changes to the Guest-book.co.uk service and/or additional services which may be provided. Your details will not be passed to any third party unless required by law. Every effort has been made to secure your information again unauthorised access, and although we cannot guarantee that there are no (hitherto) undetected security issues with the server software, any security issues will be dealt with in a prompt manner. In the event of a serious security breach, we reserve the right to completely deny access to the server until the issue has been resolved.

Content

Your guestbook is free for you to use as you see fit, but we will not allow content that falls into the following (non-exhaustive) list:

• Explicit adult content
• Text, images or other content which portrays, glorifies or incites illegal activities
• Text, images or other content which portrays, glorifies or incites prejudicial activites (including racism, sexism, etc.)
• Text, images or other content designed to cause offence
• Anything which may constitute an offence under UK law

We understand that content posted to a user's guestbook is largely out of their control, but there is a facility for the owner of the guestbook to delete offending entries. If there is continued abuse of a guestbook, the IP address taken for each entry may be used in a report to the relevent abuse department. Persistent abuse of a guestbook may result in the guestbook being removed.

The guestbook owner is reponsible for all content in their guestbook, including visitor entries. The administration area for each guestbook allows the owner to modify and/or delete entries in their guestbook. Guestbook owners are expected to monitor their guestbook for content which may cause a breach of these Terms & Conditions, and take appropriate action.

Usage of the guestbook

Guestbooks are provided free of charge for normal usage. However, if a guestbook is generating significant amounts of traffic or load on the server, or otherwise impacting on the performance of the server, the owner of the guestbook may be asked to either remove the guestbook or pay a fee for the heavy usage.

Breaches of these Terms & Conditions

Any breach of these Terms & Conditions will result in a warning email being sent to the registered email address for that guestbook, outlining the cause of the breach. It it up to the owner of the guestbook to take action to remove the cause of the breach in a timely manner.
Guestbooks which regularly breach the Terms & Conditions, or create a serious breach of the Terms & Conditions, may be removed without warning, and/or face charges to cover the cost of the breach.
